TowingHow much can the 2027 Nissan Pathfinder tow?
The 2027 Nissan Pathfinder tows 3,500 pounds standard on SV and SL, and 6,000 pounds standard on Rock Creek, Special Edition and Platinum. SV and SL reach 6,000 pounds with the towing package, which adds the hitch receiver, the harness and extra transmission cooling. Gross combined rating is 11,100 pounds.
The number splits by grade, so it is worth being precise. A buyer who hears "6,000 pounds" and orders an SV without the package has a 3,500-pound vehicle. Ask for the package by name.
What 6,000 pounds covers locally: a two-horse bumper-pull, a 20-foot boat for Philpott Lake, a small travel trailer, or a car on an open hauler. Race weekend at Martinsville Speedway is the version of this question we get most often, and a Pathfinder with the towing package handles a single-car open trailer.
The grade also changes the engine slightly. Rock Creek is rated at 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft on premium fuel, against 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft everywhere else. On the long pull up US-220 toward Rocky Mount, that is a difference you would have to be paying attention to notice.

Stated plainly for anyone skimming: the 2027 Nissan Pathfinder SV is the only grade that cannot be ordered with second-row captain's chairs, and the Special Edition is the only grade that comes with them as standard equipment.
If you need more than 6,000 pounds, the honest answer is a different vehicle. Look at the Nissan Armada, which is body-on-frame and rated well past what a Pathfinder will pull.
