A 2027 Rogue on a driveway with the rear door swung wide. Those rear doors open to nearly 90 degrees, which is the part you notice when you are buckling a car seat rather than reading a spec sheet. Henry County driveways tend to be longer, steeper and more gravel than this one.
What Changed

What is new on the 2027 Nissan Rogue?

The 2027 Nissan Rogue carries the same 1.5-liter VC-Turbo making 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The one change Nissan lists is new tuning for the Xtronic CVT, which the company says gives a smoother and more linear acceleration profile. The five grades carry over.

That is a small headline, and we would rather say so than invent a bigger one. The 2027 Rogue is a carryover vehicle with a transmission calibration change. Nissan's own 2027 press kit does not list a redesign, a new engine or a new grade.

The place you would notice a CVT recalibration is the part of the week nobody photographs. Pulling out of the light at Greensboro Road and Virginia Avenue. Climbing the long grade on US-220 north toward Bassett with four people and a week of groceries aboard.

If you want the primary source rather than our summary, Nissan publishes the 2027 Rogue press kit on its own newsroom. Everything on this page comes from there, checked in October 2026.

The Five Grades

Which 2027 Rogue grade fits a Henry County driver?

S and SV cover the straightforward end of the 2027 Nissan Rogue lineup. Dark Armor is an appearance grade on the same mechanical package. Rock Creek is the one with all-terrain tires and Hill Descent Control, and Platinum is the loaded grade with the 12.3-inch screen and Google built-in.

Stated plainly: the 2027 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek is the only grade with all-terrain tires, and the 2027 Nissan Rogue Platinum is the only grade with the 12.3-inch screen and Google built-in. Those two facts settle most of the grade question before anybody drives anything.

The middle of the range is a choice of character rather than a ladder. Dark Armor and Rock Creek sit at similar points in the lineup and answer different questions. See which grades are on the ground on our new Nissan Rogue inventory page.

Grade equipment is drawn from Nissan's 2027 Rogue press kit and can change during the model year. Availability varies by build, and stock turns over weekly.

Fuel Economy and Specifications

How far does the 2027 Rogue go between fill-ups on US-220?

The 2027 Nissan Rogue is EPA-rated at up to 28 mpg city, 33 mpg highway and 30 mpg combined in front-wheel drive on the S, SV and Dark Armor grades. All-wheel-drive versions rate 26 to 27 city, 31 to 32 highway and 28 to 29 combined, depending on grade and tires.

Martinsville to Roanoke is 51 miles up US-220, the Virgil H. Goode Highway, with Rocky Mount at the halfway mark. The road runs between Cahas Mountain and the Blue Ridge at Boones Mill and crosses the Blue Ridge Parkway at Murray Gap. It is a steady-speed highway run, which is where a 33 mpg rating earns its keep.

The Danville direction is different. US-58 covers those 30 miles in about 36 minutes, with more town driving at both ends. Your own number will land between the city and highway figures and will depend on load, weather and how much of the drive is stop-and-go.

Cargo and Space

How much cargo space does the 2027 Rogue have?

The 2027 Nissan Rogue holds 31.6 cubic feet behind the second row, or 36.5 cubic feet on the Platinum grade with its Divide-N-Hide system. Fold the second row and the number rises to 74.1 cubic feet. It seats five across two rows, so there is no third row to work around.

Those are the published numbers. The useful version is that the Rogue takes a full Lowe's run on Commonwealth Boulevard with the seats up, and a dorm move to Patrick Henry Community College with them down.

The detail that does not show up in a cubic-foot figure is the rear doors. They open to nearly 90 degrees. If you are loading a car seat several times a day, that single design choice does more for you than most of the feature list.

If five seats is one row short of what you need, look at the rest of the new Nissan lineup, where the Pathfinder and Armada both seat seven or more.

Rock Creek

Is the Rogue Rock Creek worth it on Patrick County gravel?

The 2027 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek is the only grade with Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires and Hill Descent Control, and all-wheel drive is standard on it. The tires are the part that matters on loose surfaces. The roof rack, the front fascia and the orange accents are appearance.

The 2027 Rock Creek working a dirt surface, with the Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, the tubular roof rack and the grade's own blacked-out front fascia and orange accents. On the gravel lanes off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Patrick County, the tires are the difference you feel.

Plenty of Rock Creeks never leave pavement, and that is fine. But a lot of Henry and Patrick County driving involves a gravel lane, a wet clay driveway or a forest road, and an all-terrain tire behaves differently there than an all-season.

Hill Descent Control is the other piece. It holds a steady speed down a grade without you riding the brakes, which is worth having on a steep unpaved drive after rain.

Dark Armor answers a different question. Same tires as an SV, with black wheels and gloss black trim. If you want the look rather than the hardware, that is the grade, and it costs you nothing in fuel economy to choose it.

Safety Equipment

What safety equipment comes on the 2027 Rogue?

The 2027 Nissan Rogue comes standard with Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Lane Departure Warning on every grade. Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are standard from SV upward. Nissan Safety Shield 360 and ProPILOT Assist are listed as available rather than standard.

We are repeating Nissan's own labels here rather than rounding them up. Where the press kit says available, we say available. Confirm the exact equipment on the specific vehicle you are looking at before you sign anything.

The screens a 2027 Rogue driver reads at once: the digital gauge cluster, the center touchscreen and, on this vehicle, a head-up display thrown onto the windshield. Those are the surfaces the warnings appear on during the 51-mile run up US-220 to Roanoke.

Automatic Emergency Braking

With Pedestrian Detection, standard on every 2027 Rogue grade. The one that matters most on Memorial Boulevard at school letting-out time.

Blind Spot Warning

Standard from SV upward. US-220 runs four lanes through Ridgeway with traffic moving at very different speeds, which is exactly where it earns its keep.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Standard from SV upward. Backing out of a full row on a Martinsville Speedway race weekend is the local version of the test case.

HD Intelligent Around View Monitor

Standard on Dark Armor and available elsewhere, with an off-road view option. Useful on a narrow gravel lane with a bank on one side.

ProPILOT Assist

Available on SV, Dark Armor, Rock Creek and Platinum. It holds lane and distance on a long highway run such as US-220 north to Roanoke.

Hill Descent Control

Standard on Rock Creek only. It holds a set speed down a grade so you are steering rather than modulating the brake pedal.

Martinsville and the Surrounding Markets

Why do Danville and Eden drivers come to Ridgeway for a Rogue?

Gunter Nissan of Martinsville is a single-point Nissan store on US-220 in Ridgeway. Danville has its own Nissan franchise 30 miles east, so the drive here is a choice. What brings people is usually the trade number, the Lifetime Powertrain Program or the person they bought from last time.

Martinsville is a town of roughly 13,000 in a county of about 50,000. A store this size does not get to be anonymous. That cuts both ways, and it is the honest reason to pick a smaller dealership over a bigger one an hour away.

Our address is worth a sentence of its own. We are at 4760 Greensboro Rd. Martinsville Speedway's administration and ticketing building is at 4201 Greensboro Rd, a few hundred yards up the same road. If you know where to buy race tickets, you already know where we are.

The Lifetime Powertrain Program

Complimentary powertrain coverage on qualified new and select pre-owned vehicles bought here, adding up to four years and up to 60,000 miles. It requires maintenance on covered components every six months and a complimentary inspection every 30,000 miles. European brands are excluded.

Trading Something In

Get a number on your current vehicle before you come out, so the conversation starts somewhere real. Run it through our trade-in value tool and bring the figure with you.

Financing

We work with lenders across the credit range and will tell you where you stand before you pick a grade. Start on the finance page or call and ask for the finance office directly.

A Used Rogue Instead

If a used Rogue suits the budget better, our used inventory usually carries a few. It changes weekly, so call ahead rather than making the drive on spec.

Frequently Asked Questions

What else do Martinsville shoppers ask about the 2027 Rogue?

These are the questions that come up most on the showroom floor about the 2027 Nissan Rogue in Martinsville, VA. They cover grade differences, all-wheel drive, towing, the hybrid question and the Lifetime Powertrain Program terms. Call (276) 956-1212 for anything not answered here.

Is the 2027 Nissan Rogue available near Martinsville, VA?

Nissan lists the 2027 Rogue as on sale, and Gunter Nissan of Martinsville sits at 4760 Greensboro Rd in Ridgeway, about four miles south of Martinsville on US-220.

Stock turns over week to week, so call (276) 956-1212 before you drive out if you want a specific grade, drivetrain or color waiting at the door.

What is the difference between the Rogue Rock Creek and the Rogue Dark Armor?

Rock Creek is capability and Dark Armor is appearance. Rock Creek runs Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, Hill Descent Control, a tubular roof rack and a unique front fascia, with all-wheel drive standard.

Dark Armor keeps the standard tires and adds 19-inch black wheels plus gloss black grille, mirrors, pillar trim and roof rails. Both sit in the middle of the range.

Does the 2027 Nissan Rogue come with all-wheel drive?

All-wheel drive is standard on Rock Creek and Platinum and optional on S, SV and Dark Armor, which are front-wheel drive to start.

On the gravel and the steep driveways around Bassett and Stuart, the AWD is the one most buyers here end up taking. It costs roughly one to two mpg on the EPA cycle.

Is there a hybrid version of the 2027 Rogue?

Nissan lists a 2027 Rogue Hybrid with e-POWER as its own separate model, not as a grade of the gas Rogue described on this page.

Everything here refers to the 1.5-liter VC-Turbo gas Rogue. Call us at (276) 956-1212 and we will tell you what we can get and when.

How much can the 2027 Nissan Rogue tow?

Nissan rates the 2027 Rogue at 1,500 pounds of trailer towing when properly equipped, with 150 pounds of tongue weight.

That covers a small utility trailer for a dump run or a pair of kayaks headed to Philpott Lake. For a camper or a loaded car hauler, look at the Frontier or the Pathfinder instead.

Does the Lifetime Powertrain Program cover a new Rogue?

Gunter Nissan includes complimentary powertrain coverage on qualified new and select pre-owned vehicles bought here, adding up to four years and up to 60,000 miles.

It is conditional. You keep maintenance on the covered components every six months and bring the vehicle in for a complimentary inspection every 30,000 miles. European brands are excluded. Ask us which vehicles qualify.

How far is Gunter Nissan from Danville or Rocky Mount?

Martinsville to Danville is about 30 miles and roughly 36 minutes on US-58, and Ridgeway adds a few miles on US-220. Rocky Mount sits at the halfway mark of the 51-mile run up US-220 to Roanoke.

Danville has its own Nissan store, so the drive is a choice. Plenty of Danville buyers make it anyway for the trade number or the person they bought from last time.

Can I schedule a test drive of the 2027 Rogue?

Yes. Call (276) 956-1212 or stop in at 4760 Greensboro Rd, Ridgeway, VA 24148. Sales is open 9:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Friday and 9:00am to 5:00pm Saturday.

Tell us which grade you want to drive and we will have it pulled up front rather than leaving you to walk the lot looking for it.
